Rob specializes in the field of executive benefits with more than 35 years of experience working as lead consultant and benefits broker with major U.S. and international companies and tax-exempt organizations. He is known for innovating new executive benefit plan designs and for building state-of-the-art user-friendly administrative and recordkeeping systems for clients and plan participants. His DeferTec team supports the design, implementation, and administration of nonqualified benefit plans for midsize and large publicly-owned companies using DeferTec‘s proprietary open architecture Wealth Management Center software.
Through his many years of experience in working with tax-exempt healthcare organizations, Rob has innovated and implemented unique executive benefit solutions to help these organizations compete for executive talent with both for-profit companies and with other tax-exempt organizations. His creative benefit plan designs for tax-exempt organizations have earned the recognition and support of national consulting and law firms who have worked with DeferTec to bring a comprehensive set of benefit solutions for top management.DeferTec is unique in that it can provide and administer every form of executive benefit available to tax-exempt organizations.
Rob was the driving force behind DeferTec’s investment in the development of the Company’s proprietary Wealth Management Center software, a cutting edge technology that empowers clients and their highly compensated employees by giving them unsurpassed online access to their benefit plan data. This unique software is specially designed to enable plan participants to take full advantage of the opportunity afforded by IRC §409A to rethink and readjust their retirement payouts before they retire.
Rob has a degree in Economics from UCLA and was granted the CLU designation by the American College of Life Underwriters in 1972. As a member of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters, for many years he has worked effectively with Congress as an industry spokesman.
A long-time resident of Southern California, Rob is married and the father of three, and the proud grandfather of six grandchildren.
Rob enjoys golf, tennis, a life-long love of music of all kinds, workouts at the gym, and weekends with his children and grandchildren.
